My VARK learning score
V=3
A=6
R=4
K=4
The results I obtained are not very surprising to me because I have always believed myself to be an aural learner. I learn best by listening and keeping it in my head.
I like attending classes and listening before I practice on the topic so being an aural learner I prefer being in quiet places in order to hear properly.
After looking at my score I can see that I have a low score on V. In order to achieve my degree successfully I will learn to work on my visual learning in order to benefit from all the different type of learning preferences.
E-Mentor
Ever since growing up I have always looked up to my Uncle who is like an older brother to me.
He has always been there for me when in need and gave me advice whenever I was down in any situations and also made sure I was on track with my studies and my everyday life.
I lived with him for a year due to how much we enjoyed hanging out together as family and also friends. Although he is an uncle to me, he is also like a friend because he is not that older than me so I saw him as a close friend also.
My uncle always took his studies serious and that’s what makes him my E-Mentor for today. Looking up to a person like he was always encourages you want to become like who they are so being at the university today also due to his part he played in my life.
In the near future after graduating I hope to reward him with the good work he had done for me and will continue to always look up to him as my Mentor and also a good friend.
Learning Line
I attended nursery in Reading at a place called Caversham and from there went on to primary school called Thameside Primary also based in reading.
Primary school was a very enjoyable and fun place to be as it was not really hard as you progress on the education ladder.
From primary school I carried on to Secondary school called Highdown School. After the 5 years of secondary school, I progressed on to sixth form at the same school to do my A levels.
I studied IT, Business and Sociology for my A levels and good knowledge in these subjects gave me the idea to study it in more depth in uni.
Studying Business Information Systems at uni is giving the opportunities to actually understand the power in computing with business and I am more than happy to be where I am today.
My Self
Before moving to chelmsford, I was living with my parents and 2 sisters in Reading Berkshire.
Its a great pleasure to be studyin at the university and hope it brings me many opportunities in the near future.
